Current Ad Tracker Results

When you click the "Track Ads" link you are taken to a display of your current Ad Tracker Results.


Name -
This is the name that you gave your Ad Tracker when you created it. If you click on the name of one of your trackers you will be given all the linking codes to use for this tracker.


ID -
This is a numerical identifier assigned by the system. You can use it in the Sale Tracking JavaScript code to track sales from multiple trackers.


Type -
This is the type you selected for the tracker when you created it.

  • Web is used when you want to track visitors to a certain page on your Site. You can give people the actual URL of the page you want them to visit, and place the tracking code on the page. The script will track all visitors to that page and credit the stats to this Web Tracker. You'll have various options for tracking sales associated with these trackers, as well. The Redirect URL's can be left blank for Web Trackers.
  • Link is used to create actual tracking links. You can use this links in emails, or on Web pages, and all click-throughs will be tracked. You can specify either 1 or 2 Redirect URL's for Link Trackers. If you use two, the system will alternate between the 2 when people click the Link. Again, you'll be able choose sales tracking options with Link Trackers.


Total Unique Hits -
This stat tells you how many unique hits your Ad Tracker has received. If it's an "Link" or "Affiliate" type this number tells you how many clicks the link has gotten. If it's a "Web" type, this number is the total unique visits to that page.

If you click on this number you will be shown the date, time, referring URL (if any), and browser type of the visitor. These results will include *all* hits, not just the unique hits.


Total Sales -
If you included the sales tracking code on your order confirmation page, the system will associate your sales with the appropriate tracker. This number tells you how many sales resulted from a given Ad Tracker. This number is actually more important that the total number of hits.


Today's Unique Hits -
This stat tells you how many unique hits your Ad Tracker has received for today only. If it's an "Link" or "Affiliate" type this number tells you how many clicks the link has gotten. If it's a "Web" type, this number is the total unique visits to that page.

If you click on this number you will be shown a breakdown of each day's unique and total hits since you created the Ad Tracker. This is very useful information in determining how long an ad remains effective for you.


Today's Sales -
This number tells you how many sales resulted from a given Ad Tracker for today only.


Costs -
If you entered a cost for your Ad Tracker, then Ad Tracker Pro will calculate your cost per click and your cost per sale using this information. These are very useful stats to help you determine the true effectiveness of an ad.

  • Cost of Ad - This is the number you entered when you created your Ad Tracker.
  • Cost per Click - This number is calculated my Ad Tracker Pro. It tells you exactly how much each visitor cost you.
  • Cost per Sale - This number is also calculated by Ad Tracker Pro, and it tells you exactly how much each sale cost you to produce. If this number is greater than your average sale price, then you have run a profitable ad.


Delete -
If you want to delete Ad Trackers, simply place a check mark in the box next to the ones you want to delete and press the delete button. This action is irreversible and all data associated with deleted trackers will be lost. In addition, clicks on deleted trackers will not be redirected. So use this function carefully.
